Regional Mufti’s Office - Plovdiv held a second edition of its February meeting with imams and members of Muslim boards of trustees

On February 21 (Thursday), 2019 Regional Mufti’s Office - Plovdiv held its second edition of its regular February working meeting. After the held in Asenovgrad working meeting with the imams and the members of the Muslim boards of trustees from the region of Asenovgrad on February 18, a second meeting with the imams and the members of the Muslim boards of trustees from the region of Plovdiv took place. It was held at the administrative office of Regional Mufti’s Office - Plovdiv.

“We decided to hold the meeting at two places with smaller groups in order to achieve a greater efficiency. Each of the working meetings was attended by about 20 people.” – said for Grandmufti.bg the secretary of Regional Mufti’s Office - Plovdiv.

The meeting held in Plovdiv had the same agenda like the previous one that took place a few days earlier on in Asenovgrad. The Regional Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli presented a report on the activities of the mufti’s office in Plovdiv during the last year, 2018. The participants in the meeting were informed about the planned for the current year, 2019, activities.

The participants discussed the finally adopted at the end of the last year amendments to the Law on the Religious Denominations and at the end of the working meeting there was time for discussions on current for the imams and members of the Muslim boards of trustees topics and issues.
