Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi had an official visit in Razgrad region
On February 18, 2019 Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad held a meeting with the imams from the entire Razgrad District. The meeting took place in the “Ahmed Bey” mosque of the district city.
Official guests were the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadhzi and the guest-imam from the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Topuz.
The meeting began with recitation of parts of the Qur’an-I Kerim by Shakir Ahmedchikov, imam of the city of Razgrad. Then the imam of the town of Zavet Sunay Zyulkyar delivered a brief lecture on “One ayah (verse) one hadith (narration)” about surah (chapter) Fatiha.
The Regional Mufti of Razgrad Mehmed Alya welcomed the guests and the imams and informed them about the agenda of the meeting. It included a report on the activities of the Regional Mufti’s Office of Razgrad for 2018 and the foreseen activities of the mufti’s office for the present year, 2019. There was also addressed the organization of year-round and summer Qur’an courses, the recruitment of students for the religious schools and other current issues.
In his address to the imams the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi focused on the vision for the development of the Muslim community, analysis of the current issues related to the Muslim community and the status of the community during the recent years. As a priority in his vision about the future development of the Muslim community the religious leader highlighted the role of the imams and appealed for getting closer to people and especially to the young generation which needs to be tought in the Islamic values.
Within the meeting there was also addressed the issues regarding the amendments to the Law on the Religious Denominations.
At the end of the meeting the Regional Mufti of Razgrad thanked all imams for their diligence and efforts that they make in their everyday work. The event was officially closed with a dua (supplication) made by the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.
After the held working meeting the Grand Mufti, accompanied by representatives of the mufti’s office in Razgrad, visited the Muslim community in the village of Seydol. There the religious leader of the Muslims in Bulgaria delivered a lecture on the topic “Responsibility of parents for the education of children”, which was attended by more than 100 Muslims – men, women and children. The attendees remained very satisfied with the visit and with the delivered by the official guest lecture.
The visit of the Grand Mufti in the region of Razgrad included also a visit to the mosque in the village of Trapishte and there took place a meeting with the Muslims from the settlements.
