Last year’s Hajj pilgrims met at the Old Mosque in the town of Haskovo

On February 1, 2019, Friday, Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo held a meeting with last year’s Hajj pilgrims, who performed the pilgrimage with Grand Mufti’s Office. It took place at the emblematic Old Mosque in the town of Haskovo, which is the oldest working mosque in the territory of the Balkan Peninsula.

Official guests of the event from Grand Mufti’s Office were the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, who was a Head of the organizational team of Hajj 2018 Campaign and the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali. The meeting was also attended by the expert from “Irshad” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office Bahri Izet, as well as the Deputy Mufti at Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo Erhan Redzheb.

The meeting was opened with a recitation of a part of the Holy Qur’an-i Kerim by the imam of Regional Mufti’s office – Haskovo Myumyun Ramadan. Then the Reginal Mufti of Haskovo and host of the event Basri Eminefendi welcomed the guests and all participants.

During the traditionally held by Grand Mufti’s Office such meetings, the aim of which is to discuss the organization and the conduct of the pilgrimage of Hajj to the Holy Places during the last year, the Regional Mufti Eminefendi noted the rich experience of the organizational team  and the people in charge during the pilgrimage to the Holy Places.

Within the meeting the flor was given also to the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov and his colleague Birali Birali.

The organization of such meetings is useful also for the organizational team and the people in charge of the pilgrimage because through them they can get feedback from the pilgrims and in this ay to understand what and how can be changed for the future organizations like the upcoming Hajj 2019.

At the end of the meeting the guests from Grand Mufti’s Office officially gave the participating from the region Hajj pilgrims certificates for successfully implementation pilgrimage to the Holy Places in 2018 on behalf of Grand Mufti’s Office. They also received CD with photo and video material from Hajj 2018 as a memorial.
