Discussion forum on modern family took place in Razgrad

A discussion forum took place on November 16, the Day of Tolerance, in Razgrad. The event was held under the auspices of the Regional Governor of Razgrad Gyunay Hyusmen.

The topic of the event was “The Family as a Value. Problems and trends in the modern family”.

The event was attended by the Regional Governor Gyunay Hyusmen, his deputies Nurie Tsrangalova and Evgeni Draganov, the Head of the Regional Education Office in Razgrad Angel Petkov, the Chairperson of the Municipal Council – Razgrad Nadezhda Radoslavova, the RDMI- Razgrad Director Ivaylo Yovchev, as well as heads of the regional offices of the Ministry of Interior in Isperih, Kubrat and Loznitsa.

The event was also attended by mayors of settlements, directors of educational institutions, school teachers, representatives of NGOs, municipal councilors and others.

The Regional Governor opened the meeting with the words: “I embraced the idea for such a forum, because for a first time, following the socio-political situation, I see in front of such an important audience the religious leaders of Razgrad district side by side”. After the welcoming words Gyunay Hyusmen continued: “During all these years of the Transition we obviously indeed have lost our family values, which is a main problem of our society. We must revive again in one voice and together the values in the family, in order Bulgaria to endure”.

In the first module of the discussion forum speeches were delivered by the Prelate Father Georgi and the Regional Mufti Mehmed Alya with a report on: “Family as a Value and Religion as an Educational Character”.

The religious leaders united on the thesis that religion must be the main pillar in developing and preserving family values.

In the second module the problems of the modern family and how they affect its essential function – the educational one, were discussed. During the meeting successful and good practices were presented to the participants. Dr. Nadie Karagyozova presented the topics about building a close and permanent partnership between school and family, which to develops and maintain a positive constructive feedback and to stimulate positively the parents in order to overcome ethnic, social and religious differences and solving the problems in favor of the child.
