Let’s motivate ourselves with what makes us feel unique

“Let’s motivate ourselves with what makes us feel unique”…

This was just one of the focuses during the second discussion meeting between students from the three religious schools in Bulgaria, held in Religious School “Momchilgrad” on November 10 (Saturday), 2018. These were the words of the student from Religious School “Mirza Said Pasha” – Ruse Arzu Alieva, shared during the discussion.

But first of all about this discussion… It was organized and moderated by the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Birali Birali. The focus of the discussion meeting was what motivates the youth nowadays and what prevents its motivation, i.e. what demotivates it.

In the time of technologies, in which we live today, the small things that make us feel unique, such as cooking, reading, etc., are often forgotten. Yes, maybe you will find strange what we discussed during the meeting, but that is the truth. Let me take you back to the title of this text - “Let’s motivate ourselves with what makes us feel unique”… Yes, of course! This is what matters – to turn that which is difficult for us or which seems to us unsolvable, into our uniqueness that motivates us.

During the meeting the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali, also shared that even though not literally, we are nothing, and if we think about it, we will find a lot of sense in his words. Although for some people it may not be so. But thinking about ourselves as nothing is better than thinking we are something. For example, someone comes to us and tells us that we are bad students. But in the case when we think about ourselves as nothing, we start to think about it… “He is telling me that I am a student! That is plenty for me”, etc.

Let`s think about why people are sharing each other some things. They do it hoping and expecting to get support from the people with whom they share it.

So remember one of the focuses in the discussion club of the three religious schools or namely the words of the student Arzu Alieva: “Let’s motivate ourselves with what makes us feel unique”… Of course during the meeting were also discussed many other things. Decisions were made, steps for a better humanity, etc. But the lesson is in this – sense, uniqueness, thought, thrill, motivation.

After the 4-hour discussion between the students from the three religious schools in Bulgaria there also took place a short excursion during which Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali and the madrasah (religious school) which now is historical museum were visited. The group of students also visited the “Yedi Kazlar” mosque in the village of Podkova and on behalf of everyone I would like to thank the Regional Mufti Beyhan Mehmed for the warm welcome and for the hospitality. After this short excursion we also express our gratitude to the Mayor and the imam of Fotino for the dinner which they organized for the group. May Allah be pleased with them!
