Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven held its regular meeting with imams for October

Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven held its regular meeting with the imams from the region on October 24 (Wednesday).

The working meeting was officially opened with reading of a part from the Holy Qur`an by the host and Regional Mufti of Sliven Akif Akifov. He welcomed all participants and informed them about the agenda of the working meeting.

During the meeting the imams from the region of Sliven discussed some moments from their work and from the work of the Regional Mufti’s Office. An analysis of the held initiative “Week of Mosques” (October 15 - 21) was made as well as of the held on this occasion events in the region of Sliven. Furthermore the imams discussed the report on the participation of Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven in the national one-month initiative “Month in Support of the Islamic Education” which this year was held within the period May 16 – June 5. The contribution in the campaign of Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven this year is the collected amount of 5 527,04 BGN.

As a part of the agenda of the October meeting in Sliven there were addressed different moments related to the conduct of this year’s campaign “Orphans’ Week”. In addition to all that, the participants in the meeting discussed different issues related to carrying out the year-round Qur’an courses in the region.

After completing the agenda the working meeting of the imams from Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven was officially closed with dua (supplication) for successful and seamless work of all employees of Regional Mufti’s Office - Sliven.
