Summer season ended with nearly 600 summer Qur’an courses held on the territory of entire Bulgaria

Summer season of 2018 began with 594 summer Qur’an courses for children and ended with a total of 581 courses. They all were held in different settlements at all 20 regional mufti’s offices in the country. This became known at the last for the season working meeting of the coordinators of the summer Qur’an courses from entire Bulgaria. It was held at two places in the country – in Shumen and in Ustina, respectively on September 24 and 25 this year.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov and by Bahri Izet – expert at “Irshad” Department. 

“The meeting in Shumen was attended by 12 coordinators of this year’s summer Qur’an courses, which took place on the territory of the regional mufti’s offices in Northern Bulgaria. In the meeting which took place at the training base of the Training School for Imams in the village of Ustina participated 10 coordinators of the Qur’an courses from Southern Bulgaria” – said for Grandmuti.bg Bahri Izet from “Irshad” Department of Grand Mufti’s Office.

“Within the meeting the participants presented their summarized reports for the held summer Qur’an courses for children during the present year 2018. We also had the opportunity to analyze their performance as well as to exchange different ideas on what could be changed or improved in the future” – further added Izet.

We would like to recall that the summer Qur’an courses in the country this year began with the beginning of July and covered the months of July and August. After that, as every year, each of the regional mufti’s offices in Bulgaria organized a regional competition in basic knowledge in Islam. The finalists from the regional competitions met at the 12th National Competition in Basic Knowledge in Islam,which took place on September 8 and 9 this year in the town of Momchilgrad.
