Regional Mufti's Office - Aytos held a Regional Contest in Basic Knowledge in Islam 2018

For one more year in a row Regional Mufti’s office - Aytos organized a Regional Contestin Basic Knowledge in Islam. It took place on 15th August this year in the central mosque of the village of Lyaskovo (Aytos Municipality).

The regional competition in knowledge about the Islamic religion was attended by students from a total of 36 summer Qur’an courses that were taking place over the past two months, organized by Regional Mufti's Office - Aytos.

At the beginning of the competition, all of the students, their teachers, parents and all guests were welcomed by the regional mufti of Aytos Selyahattin Muharem. The host thanked all the participants for the participation, congratulated their teachers and thanked all the sponsors who helped the regional competition’s realization.

"About 1000 children from the region of Aytos took part in the summer Qur’an courses this year. They were from 42 different places and studied at a total of 53 courses." - toldthe regional mufti of Aytos Selyahattin Muharem.

The young participants were divided into two groups of the competition, depending on the knowledge level and there werethree competition rounds: a theory test, reading from the Holy Qur'anand recitation of quotes from the Holy Qur'an by heart.

The knowledge of the children was estimated by a 3-member jury which consisted of:

Dzhelil Dzhelil - lecturer at "Nyuvvab" Religious School - Shoumen

Husseyn Ahmed - an expert from “Ïrshad” Department at Regional Mufti’s Office - Aytos

Sundzhay Ramadan - vaiz atRegional Mufti’s Office - Aytos

All the participants in the regional contest were awarded. And the first three finalists, ranked first, second and third in each of the two levels of the competition,received cash prizes. They were respectively 150, 100 and 50 leva.

The finalists in the first level of the contest were respectively:

First place - Osman Mehmed from Prosenik village

Second place - Nedzhmie Jamal from the village of Rechitsa

Third place - Emine Osman from the village of Dobromir

The second level finalists were:

First place - Nefse Mehmed from the village of Ruen

Second place - Zeyneb Ahmed - village of Daskotna

Third place - Gizem Kadish - village of Manolich  

After the end of the contest program all the guests had the opportunity to enjoy a cultural program, prepared specially for the occasion by some other children.
