Regional Mufti’s Office - Blagoevgrad held a regular meeting with the imams

Regional Mufti’s Office – Blagoevgrad held a regular meeting with its imams on June 25 this year (Monday). It took place in two places – in Yakoruda and in Gotse Delchev.

As a part of the agenda of the held working meeting an analysis of the held during the past month of Ramadan National Campaign in Support of the Islamic Education was made. It was an honor and pleasure to report that this year on the territory of the mufti’s office of Blagoevgrad the raised funds for the campaign are 40 % higher than the last year.

The focus of the meeting was on the issue for carrying out this year’s summer Qur’an courses and the heads of the courses took an active part on this topic.

The participants paid attention to the current issues related to the organization and carrying out the Qur’an courses during the summer as well as to the problems that usually accompany their implementation. The importance of the collaboration and the team work of the colleagues were highlighted, as well as benefiting from the positive experience from each other with regard to holding the Qur’an courses. The Regional Mufti Aydan Mohamed also highlighted how important is the activity of the imams.

Within the held meeting there was also voted and elected a 5-member team to be responsible for the organization and carrying out the Regional Competition in Basic Knowledge in Islam for the region of Blagoevgrad. The aim is the Qur’an courses themselves to organize the competition at the end of the summer, and not to make the organization on a certain centralized system which the Qur’an courses cannot feel as theirs.” – explained the Regional Mufti Aydan Mohamed.
