Halal Certification Committee held a workshop in Sofia
A workshop on Halal food and the production methods was held at the Center for Media and Culture of Grand Mufti’s Office on May 13.
The workshop was attended by people who are involved in the production that meets the Halal standards.
With regard to the training workshop the Chairman of the Halal Certification Committee at Grand Mufti’s Office Beyhan Mehmed shared: “This workshop is the first of its kind, for training people who are involved in the field of meat production that meets the Halal standards.”
Beyhan Mehmed also shared that every year the members of the Committee participate in the programs of the international organizations for Halal certifications and exchange experience with them. Therefore the Halal certificate for production in Bulgaria is valid also in the other countries that are members of the international organizations for Halal certification.
The first lecture was delivered by the SMC Chairman Vedat Ahmed, who spoke on the topic: “Halal – way of life”. Then Dr. Ahmed Lyutov presented the work of the Halal Certification Committee.
The Chairman of the Halal Certification Committee spoke on the topic “What care should we exercise when we produce Hahal meat?”
“During the workshop the participants shared very good ideas, some problems were identified. It turned out that the Halal Certification Committee does not manage to reach everywhere and it will work in this direction in order to improve the efficiency of the work of the Committee and the members”, said Beyhan Mehmed.
Dr. Shahin Syuleyman spoke about the benefits of the meat from a health and religious perspective. “Everything what one eats influences also his physical and spiritual condition”, said Dr. Shahin in his lecture.
