Regional Mufti of Targovishte held a meeting with the Municipal Mayor Dr. Darin Dimitrov

The interim Regional Mufti of Targovishte Nazif Rasimov visited the Mayor of the Municipality of Targovishte Dr. Darin Dimitrov on May 4 this year. The aim of the visit of the Mufti and the held meeting was to get to know better each other and to discuss the opportunities for joint work at regional level between the two institutions.

Before leaving the Regional Mufti Rasimov gave a gift to the host a copy of the Bulgarian translation of the Holy Qur’an as well as one of the books of the Muslim Denomination – “Islam against violence”.

During the same day (Friday) besides the meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Targovishte the Regional Mufti Rasimov managed to visit also the Muslim Board of Trustees – Balgaranovo. He had a talk with the congregation (jamaat) of the village, after which Rasimov had the honor to lead the Friday prayer (Jumu'ah prayer). The local Muslim community expressed its satisfaction with the visit of the Regional Mufti of Targovishte in the village of Balgarnovo, and also wished that such meetings to be held more often.
