Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven organized a meeting with the women – preachers from the region

On April 18, 2018 (Wednesday) in the village of Gradsko was held a meeting with the women – preachers (vaizes) at Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven. It was organized by the local mufti’s office and official guests were the Regional Mufti of Sliven Akif Akifov and the chairman of the Muslim Board of Trustees in Sliven and a member of the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC) Hasan Yuseinov.

The meeting was organized in order to be discusses several current issues related to the work of the women who are preachers in Sliven region. There were discussed topics such as the preparation for the upcoming month of Ramadan, as well as this year’s summer Qur’an courses.

The Regional Mufti of Sliven Akif Akifov presented to the participants in the meeting the current activities of the institution and the situation in which the Muslim Denomination currently is. Among the focuses of the held meeting was also the opportunity for the women - preachers to participate in the religious life of the community.
