“Year of the Young Family” Committee visited its similar organization in Turkey

Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria, which every day aims to be of a maximum favor to the society in the field of the social assistance, the religious education and many others, already has the ambition to support youths, who would like to start a family. This is achieved thanks to the activity of the newly established committee at the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC), dealing with the project “Year of the Young Family”.

This Committee, led by its Chairman – the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed and its members Muhammed Kamber and Musa Durlu, visited the Turkish city of Konya on April 4, 2018. The visit was at the invitation of the Turkish foundation “Mehir”. There were held conversations with the representatives of the foundation, who expressed their willingness and readiness through Grand Mufti’s Office this year to support 25 young Muslim families in Bulgaria through organization of common wedding and providingtrousseau containing furniture.

The criteria and the way to apply for the support will be announced in the future on the website of the Muslim Denomination.
