Discussion in Sofia brought together Muslims to meet the three sacred months

Muslims gathered in the capital in order to participate in a discussion, organized by Grand Mufti’s Office on the occasion of the beginning of the three sacred months – Rajab, Shaban and Ramadan. It took place in the Media and Culture Center from 19:00 o’clock on March 19, 2018 (Monday) – the first day of the blessed month of Rajab.

One of the lecturers was Muhammed Kamber, imam of the village of Lazhnitsa, who presented some issues regarding the faith and the convictions of the Muslim, their level and the ways to clean and strengthen them. Kamber addressed one very important and pressing issue, and exactly that today many people haveturned the important worshipping in Islam into habits and traditions. He focused on the ways in which to return to the conscious and understood performance of worshipping, and at the same time to successfully prepare for the Holy Month of Ramadan – “the religious school in which we can increase and strengthen our faith”, as compared the guest-lecturer from Lazhnitsa.

The second lecturer in the discussion Dzhemal Hatip – expert at Publishing Department of Grand Mufti’s Office, entered in details the legal aspects of the matter with regard of the months of Rajab, Shaban and Ramadan. He presented several issuesfrom Fiqh, related to the worshiping itself and gave concrete answers to a number of contested among the Muslims questions.

After the presentations of the two lecturers the participants in the hall got the opportunity to join the discussion with comments and questions.

The event was closed by the moderator Birali Myumyun Birali – Deputy Grand Mufti whose final words included the dua (supplication) of the Prophet (pbuh) – “O, Allah, grant us baraqah (blessing) during the month of Rajab and during the month of Ramadan, and give us an opportunity to meet the month of Ramadan, which the Prophet made after the beginning of the three sacred months.
