The Members of the Muftis’ Council met for their first meeting for year 2018
The first meeting of the Mufti’s Council for the present year 2018, was held on January 30 (Tuesday) in the town of Hisarya. It was held under the Chairmanship of the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, and was attended by the members of the Muftis’ Council – the regional muftis from the country as well as the deputy muftis in the regions.
In his welcoming address to the participants the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria outlined the three main points which will be leading in the work of the Muslim Denomination in year 2018. The first thing which Dr. Hadzhi mentioned was establishing active relationship between the institution and the community. As priorities of the Denomination he announced the finding better ways to present the work of the institution as well as involving more volunteers in the initiatives and the campaigns of the Muslim Denomination.
Taking into account the given guidelines, at the first for the year meeting the members of the Muftis’ Council discussed a number of important topics. Among them was the schedule of the work of the regional mufti’s offices for the month of February. There was a proposal for preparing a newsletter where to present the current activities of the Muslim Denomination and which to be of an informational benefit to the society. The participants in the meeting discussed the preparation of templates for nikah (marriage), mosques’ registers and imam hakki from the temporary committee at the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC).
One of the topics on the agenda of the meeting addressed the preparation of an effective strategy for unlocking of empathy in the people from the society and their voluntary participation in the maintenance of the Denomination in order to overcome sooner the financial difficulties of the Muslim Denomination.
The representatives of Irshad Department of Grand Mufti’s Office presented their reports on the activity of the department for the past year 2017 and in the framework of the meeting it was also discussed the conduction of the summer and the year-round Qur’an courses in the country.
At the end of the first for the year meeting the members of the Muftis’ Council wished themselves success and fruitful work in year 2018.
