200 649 leva is the total amount of the raised funds within Orphans’ Week 2017

In 2017 once again was organized Orphans’ Week – national social campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office in support of the orphans. It took place within the period from October 27 – December 3, with the active participation of the regional mufti’s offices in the country as well as the religious schools on the territory of Bulgaria – in Momchilgrad, Shumen and Ruse. The High Islamic University also participated in the campaign for supporting orphans. Besides that the initiative was supported also by private donors from the country and abroad.

“The total amount which we managed to raise within the campaign “Orphans’ Week 2017” is 200 649 leva” – officially announced for Grandmufti.bg the expert at Social Department at Grand Mufti’s Office Bahri Izet. He could not manage to hide his satisfaction with the fact that the amount is significantly higher than that which was raised during the same campaign a year earlier, in 2016. Then during the Orphans’ Week 2016 the raised amount of funds was 118 338 leva.

The funds that the campaign “orphans’ Week” manages to raise every year are submitted to “Orphans” Fund at Social Department at Grand Mufti’s Office. And actually the major part of the incomes in this Fund is exactly from the annual social campaign.

“The amount of 200 649 leva which was raised at the end of the past year during the Orphans Week 2017 will be spent for the orphans during the present 2018 year” – further said Bahri Izet. He did not miss to thank all benefactors from the country and abroad with the help of whom were raised the funds in support of orphans during the last social campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office.
