From Sarnitsa: The power of unity around one noble cause to help orphans
On December 17, 2017 (Sunday) the Muslims from the town of Sarnitsa in the Rhodopes, united around one charity initiative which was held witin the national campaign “Orphans’ Week” 2017 (although officially it passed).
The children from the Qur’an courses at the two mosques in Sarnitsa, together with their teachers and parents joined the charity bazaar for the cause of Grand Mufti’s Office for the orphans. The bazaar took place on Sunday in the mosque of “Peteltsi” quarter and the participants had prepared for a wide range variety of food.
Dozens were the Muslims who in addition to visiting the mosque for the weekly religious lecture there took advantage of the opportunity to support the orphans by buying from the homemadedelicious things.
The teachers from the local Qur’an courses who initiated the bazaar with the assistance of the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih sharedthat they have chosen to organize bazaar instead of direct collecting money to support the orphans for several reasons. “In this way the children can see by themselves how to “earn” money, even through the prepared personally by them things. This will make them feel more satisfied and compassionate to the noble cause in support of orphans”, shared the women with regard to the reasons to organize exactly bazaar.
Just for several hours – from 9:00 to 12:00 o’clock in which period was held the charity bazaar in “Peteltsi”, everything was sold out. And the result was obvious – the collected amount of 1140.00 leva which will be submitted to “Orphans” Fund of Grand mufti’s Office and will be spent for the needs of the orphaned children.
The Sunday charity bazar in Sarnitsa is an example for one crowned with success charity initiative. However it is sure that behind this success of the Muslims from the town in the Rhodopies stand their common objectives, unconditional motivation, togetherness and unity... in the Name of Allah and around one common cause – to support orphaned children.
