“Intangible Cultural Heritage in Bulgaria: Mercy – Charity – Religious Values in Action”

On 25^th of October, 2017 the Deputy grand Mufti Mr. Birali Birali participated in Students roundtable “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Bulgaria: Mercy – Charity – Religious Values in Action”, organized by the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies in Sofia.

It was also attended by Mrs. Sv. Gyoreva (“Karitas – Bulgaria” to the Catholic Church), Pastor Iv. Kovachev (“Mission” Church), Mrs. D. Kovacheva and a team (The Church of Jesus Christ of Saints of the Last Days), Mrs. B. Bogdanova and lawyer R. Radkova (White Brotherhood Society).

All of them presented the current activities of their religious communities or organizations in the field of charity and discussed with students from the specialty of Cultural and Historical Heritage, Information Resources of Tourism and Communications and information, such as: involvement of young people from our country into the religious charity and preservation of the values (virtues) mercy, kindness, sacrifice, self-sacrificing, generosity and doing good in the contemporary global world.

There were discussed the possibilities for possible joint projects on common topics and for compiling a collection of the reports from the Roundtable.
