Public lecture on the topic “Religious buildings in Islam, purpose and functions” was held within the Mosques’ Week 2017 in Plovdiv

 

 

In the framework of the held this year Mosques’ Week by Grand Mufti’s Office, on 19th of October, 2017 (Thursday) in the city of Plovdiv was held a public lecture on the topic “Religious buildings in Islam, purpose and functions”.

The lecture was organized and held with the assistance of Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv. It was delivered by Kemal Rashid – doctoral candidate at New Bulgarian University – Sofia.

The event took place in the representation of the Anadolu University in the city of Plovdiv.

The lecture included a presentation of “Dzhumaya mosque”, the city of Plovdiv and “Kurshum mosque” in the town of Karlovo.

The event was attended by representatives of the society in Plovdiv.

At the end of the lecture the organizers expressed their most sincere gratitude to Fahrie Murad, representative of the Anadolu University, for the provided opportunity to hold the lecture in the building of the representation of the university

The audience expressed opinion that such meetings with educational purpose have to continue to be organized and held in the future.
