Festive hatim brought together dozens of Muslims in the village of Draginovo

The day of the past Sunday was festive for all residents of the village of Draginovo, Velingrad region. On 20^th of August this year with a festive hatim all the marked the completing of the entire reading of the Holy Qur’an from 14 girls. All of them participated in the year-round Qur’an course in the village with a teacher Hatidzhe Bakar.

The celebration included a program lasting several hours and took place in the new mosque of Draginovo. Greeting speeches were delivered by the official guests of the hatim – the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih and employees of the Regional Mufti’s Office. The celebration included also performances of religious songs – ilyaji and playing instructive scenes by the children.

With greatest excitement and thrill on behalf of the participants and most of all from the parents of the children was the expected recitation of the Holy Qur’an by the 14 already completed its entire reading girls.

The festive event was closed with a dua (supplication) made by the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.

For all guests of the celebration the parents of the children and the residents of the village of Draginovo had prepared a feasting with qurban.
