Candidate Hajj pilgrims from Northeastern Bulgaria were festively sent

A festive sending of the future Hajj pilgrims from the regions of Shumen, Razgrad, Targovishte, Varna, Dobrich, Silistra and Sliven was organized in the mosque “Sherif Halil Pasha” in the city of Shumen. This took place on 20^th of August, the day when they all and the other candidate Hajj pilgrims from Bulgaria who chose to perform the pilgrimage this year with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office, left for the Republic of Turkey. In the morning of 21^st of August the group of Hajj pilgrims of the Muslim Denomination departured by plane at 8:00 o’clock from “Ataturk” airport in Istanbul to the Holy places in Saudi Arabia.

In this year’s sending of the future Hajj pilgrims in the mosque “Sherif Halil Pasha” participated the Regional Mufti of Shumen Mesut Mehmedov, who welcomed the Hajj pilgrims and made a dua (supplication) for health and successful implementation of their pilgrimage.

The ritual for sending the candidate Hajj pilgrims for the pilgrimage to the Holy places is a continuation of on old tradition when for those who wished to perform this worshipping were organized special celebrations.
