Children from summer Qur’an courses in the region of Veliko Tarnovo gathered for get-to-know picnic meeting
The day of 17th of August (Thursday) will remain a lasting memory for the children from three summer Qur’an courses in the region of Veliko Tarnovo.
The young participants in the Qur’an courses which are held during the summer in Svishtov, Kilifarevo and Veliko Tarnovo gathered for a picnic in nature in the town of Kilifarevo. They were accompanied by their teachers – the imam of Kilifarevo Efraim Shabanov, the guest-imam from Turkey at Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo Ömer Ayaz, as well as the imam of Svishtov Syuleyman Hodzha. They were also accompanied by Yashar Mehmedov – coordinator of the Qur’an courses at Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo. A nice surprise for all was joining the picnic in nature of the Regional Mufti of Ruse Yudzhel Hyusnyu and the guest-imam at the Mufti’s Office in Ruse, who is also from the Republic of Turkey.
In the get-to-know picnic meeting in Kilifarevo participated 20 young Muslims in total from the three settlements. They had the opportunity to get to know each other, to play together as much as the want and to have a meal in nature. Besides that, the kids shared of what they have learned during the summer Qur’an course, they recited the supplications which they have learned by heart. Before leaving they exchanged their contacts for handling future communication.
The groups from Veliko Tarnovo and from Svishtov left from Kilifaevo and then gathered again in the mosque of Veliko Tarnovo where they performed together the noon prayer. The children went back in their homes with satisfaction and contentment from the wonderful spent with their peers day in nature.
The picnic of the young Muslims from the three summer Qur’an courses – in Veliko Tarnovo, Svishtov and Kilifarevo was organized with the financial support of benefactors who wished to stay anonymous.
“And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah. And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.”
