Ramadan program “Awaiting the iftar” visited also the village of Lazhnitsa

The village of Lazhnitsa in Gotse Delchev region was the penultimate stop of the traveling program “Awaiting the iftar” this year. The program there took place on 17^th of June (Saturday), just a day prior its last presentation in the town of Sarnitsa.

Among the official guests of the evening event were the Regional Mufti of Blagoevgrad Aydan Mohamed, the Mayor of the village of Lazhnitsa Zaafer Koynarov, guests from the Republic of Turkey and others. Despite of the rainy weather the audience of the program which took place in the gym of the local school, numbered about 300 people.

“Awaiting the iftar” in Lazhnitsa created a very warm brotherly atmosphere in the village so that the local Muslims shared their experiences from the present month of Ramadan. The children from the local Qur’an course had the opportunity to express themselves within the Ramadan celebration.

After the end of the Ramadan festive program there was given iftar dinner for all guests, provided by local Muslims. Such iftars are made traditionaly every evening during the month of Ramadan.
