Professor Lyobomir Mikov published new book

In May this year was published the new book of Prof. Dr. Lyubomir Mikov “Mosques and masajid in Bulgaria – interior, exterior, decoration”.

The one-volume book was published by BAS – The Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum, with the assistance of Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in Bulgaria.

In the book for a first time are considered in complex the topics regarding the interior of mosques, their exterior specificity and their architectural décor. There is provided an appendix of 152 pages of color illustrative material.

At a meeting in Grand Mufti’s Office Prof. Mikov gave a copy of his newly published book to Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi – Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria.
