Grand Mufti’s Office organizes course for correct and artistic reading of the Qur’an

Since three years the Grand mufti’s office organizes a special course for correct and artistic reading of the Qur’an (Tashih-I Huruf) for imams in practice. The course will take place in the town of Momchilgrad and will last six months.
The aim of the course is imams who have basic knowledge and skills in reading the Qur’an-i Kerim to increase them by gaining more specialized knowledge and skills in this field.
The teaching activity will be carried out by Mr. Süleyman Demiray – Chief imam of the Selimiye mosque in Edirne, a specialist in the field of reading the Qur’an (maharaj and tajweed) and religious music (maqam).
In connection with the new educational season we would like to inform you that this year –with the permission of the Exalted Allah – the course Tashih-i Huruf will start from 8th of December, 2014 and will continue until the beginning of the month of Ramadan in year 2015. For this purpose those who are willing to participate in the course should get in contact with the relevant regional mufti’s office.
The deadline for enrolment is 25th of November, 2014.
