Religious School in Momchilgrad marked “Orphans’ week” with a discussion

The Religious School in Momchilgrad organized a discussion on the occasion of this year’s “Orphans’ week” on 24^th of November, 2016. The students from all grades came to the previously announced meeting with the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun and Bahri Izet – an expert at Social Department at the Denomination. The meeting was also attended by teachers from the school.

The discussion, which took place after that, covered issues related to the understanding for the place of the orphans in our society and what are our responsibilities towards them.

“In order to better understand orphans we have to look to ourselves. We have to think about the moments when we felt alone, far from our father’s home”, reminded the Deputy Grand Mufti. He presented the social project for supporting orphans since its start in year 2013 till today. He also addressed the topic for the empathy and the responsiveness of the Muslims in the national campaigns.

The students took an active part in the discussion and shared their small experience in the organization of charity bazaars and raising funds with the same purpose.

This year they gave the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali nearly 500.00 leva collected charity for “Orphans” fund.
