Grand Mufti’s Office held preparatory workshop for Hajj pilgrims

 

Grand Mufti’s Office completed the preparatory stage for the organization of Hajj 2016. For this year’s sacred pilgrimage have subscribed 235 pilgrims. Among those who want to visit the holy places with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office are Bulgarian citizens from different parts of the country and some of them live and work in different European countries and neighboring Turkey.

In connection with the complete performance of the religious duties from the Hajj pilgrims Grand Mufti’s Office organizes since several years workshops for the candidates for pilgrimage of Hajj. This year the first preparatory and training workshops were held with the candidate Hajj pilgrims, Bulgarian citizens who are living or working in Turkey.

The candidate Hajj pilgrims who are going to perform the pilgrimage of Hajj with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office gathered for workshops in Çorlu, Istanbul and Bursa. The workshops were organized by Grand Mufti’s Office with the assistance of its representatives and the relevant Turkish mufti’s offices in the abovementioned cities. They were organized on 13th and 14th of August, 2016 in the central mosque of Çorlu, Haci Tükenmez mosque in Avcilar, Istanbul and the Central mosque in Çalı, Bursa.

The events were held with the participation of the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council, the Regional Mufti of Stara Zagora Turhan Hasan and the SMC Secretary Dzhafer Nizamov, as well as the representatives Ahmet Kiracı and Sami Syuleyman.

During the workshop Mr. Vedat S. Ahmed explained the importance of Hajj, its essence the structure and the rules of Hajj which have to be respected during its performance. The candidates for the pilgrimage of Hajj were informed about the technical requirements during travelling, accommodation and staying in Saudi Arabia. They were also given detailed information about the program which will be implemented within one month in the holy lands. Furthermore they were given informational materials and tools which will contribute for the full implementation of the pilgrimage which is done once in a lifetime.

In the informational preparatory workshops took part Hajj pilgrims who during the past years were part of the groups who had performed their religious duty with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office. Some of them are going to perform Hajj once again, and others were present to share their experience as well as to express their gratitude to Grand Mufti’s Office for the good organization during the last years.
