“Brotherhood without borders” at iftar in Asenovgrad
For a fifth consecutive year the quarter of Asenovgrad Dolni Voden hosted the traditional iftar dinner which is given by the suburban district of Istanbul Bayrampaşa. At the central square of quarter Dolni Voden to the age-old plane tree were set tables for about 2200 people. Before the iftar the imam of the village of Mominsko, Mehmet Kyamil, recited verses from the Holy Qur’an and the dua for the fasting was done by the Regional Mufti Taner Veli. The event was broadcasted live from several Turkish televisions. After the iftar dinner till 22:00 o’clock the guests represented a cultural and religious program for the month of Ramadan.
