Traditional sunnet took place in Shumen

Regional Mufti’s Office - Shumen organized a traditional sunnet (circumcision ceremony) in the mosque “Sherif Halil Pasha” (Tombul mosque). The event was attended by guests from Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen – there was Niyazi Evren Akyol – Consul of Turkey in the city of Burgas, local businessmen and others.

The event which takes place every year and has become a tradition was organized for eleventh consecutive year. In the sunnet this year were circumcised 166 children from Shumen region. The circumcision was performed by the experienced hands of the longtime professional in this field Dr. Lyutvi Mehmed.
