The Week of the Birth of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was celebrated in Veliko Tarnovo
Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo in cooperation with Muslim Board of Trustees – Gorna Oryahovitsa organized celebration of the Week of “Kutlu Dogum”. It was held in the newly built mosque of the city of Gorna Oryahovitsa on 23rd of April, 2016 from 10:00 o’clock. Official guests of the event were the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Birali Myumyun Birali, Ahmed Hasanov – lecturer at High Islamic Institute in Sofia.
The program was opened with recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim by the imam of the village of Petko KAravelovo – Halil Aliev. Welcoming speeches were delivered by the newly elected Mufti Syuleyman Masurev and by each of the official guests. The program was varied with ilyahi and poems dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The event ended with a dua (supplication) made by the imam of Gorna Oryahovitsa Abdullah Yaldaz.
