Festive celebration of Kutlu Dogum in Samokov
A program on the occasion of the Week of the Birth of the Prophet (pbuh) under the title “The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and ethics in co-existence” was held on 24th of April, 2016 in the masjid of the town of Samokov. Guests of the event were the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Murat Pingov, Mr. Dzhemal Hatip – an expert at “Publishing” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office, Mr. Sezgin Halil – a secretary at Regional Mufti’s Office – Sofia, Mr. Ersin Demiral – imam of the central mosque in Sofia and students from the High Islamic Institute. The celebration began with recitation of the Holy Qur’an by the imam of the central mosque in Sofia. The program continued with welcoming speeches from the Deputy Grand Mufti Murat Pingov and the Secretary at Regional Mufti’s Office – Sofia. The program included a lecture delivered by Mr. Dzhemal Hatip. Lunch was served to all participants. the event ended with a dua (supplication) made by the imam of the masjid in the town of Samokov Mr. Mehmet Hafiz-Syuleyman.
