Grand Mufti’s Office organized a number of workshops for students during April vacation

Grand Mufti’s Office held several workshops for students at different places in the country during the April vacation.

Within the period 1st – 4th of April this year such workshop was held in the village of Ustina, Plovdiv region. The participants in the workshop were students from the Qur’an course for hafizes in the town of Madan. Lecturers were Birali Birali – Deputy Grand Mufti of Bulgaria, Mustafa Izbishtali – Regional Mufti of Sofia, Resim Shamatarev –“Irshad” expert as well as teachers from the course in Madan. Under the guidance of Selim Mehmed – Director of the course for imams in Ustina and of hafiz Shefket Hadzhi – director of the Qur’an course in order to vary the program of the workshop the participants visited the mosques in the city of Plovdiv, as well as sights in the Old Town.

There were held table tennis and volleyball sports competitions between the participants in the courses. The young boys also went hiking to the local waterfall. At the end of the several days workshop all participants received gifts from Grand Mufti’s Office. As soon as this workshop ended a second group of boys arrived in the base in the village of Ustina. The second workshop was held also under the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office within the period 4th – 9th of April. It was attended by 18 boys from fourth to eight grade from the Regional Mufti’s Offices of Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad and Haskovo. Under the guidance of Selim Mehmed – Director of the Course for imams in the village of Ustina and of Sabit Gudzhov – imam of the village of Kraishte, the students visited the two mosques in the city of Plovdiv as well as sights in the Old Town. There were held sports and entertaining events. The students from the second group also went hiking to the local waterfall.

Similar workshop for boys was organized and held in the village of Bilka, Burgas region. The students received basic knowledge for Islam. The workshop was attended by 19 boys from the Regional Mufti’s Offices of Aytos, Sliven and Stara Zagora. There was prepared a sporting-entertaining program as well as visits to the town of Aytos and to the resort Sunny Beach.

Under the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office and with the active assistance of Nazif Nazifov and Aziz Azizov was organized and carried out also a workshop for boys in the village of Delchevo, Razgrad region. The workshop was also for obtaining basic knowledge in Islam and was attended by 20 boys from the regions of Razgrad, Silistra and Ruse.

40 boys from Shumen region also had the opportunity to obtain new and to refresh the already acquired knowledge in Islam in the framework of the 7-day religious workshop for children from fourth to eight grade. It was organized by Grand Mufti’s Office in cooperation with Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen. The one-week workshop was held between 3rd and 9th of April in the training base of SRS “Nyuvvab” in the city of Shumen. The program was varied with many various entertaining games and visits to the cultural and historical sights in the city.

Within the April vacation in several places in the country were held workshops for girls of school age as well. Within the period from 4th till 9th of April such a workshop was held in the premises of SRS – Momchilgrad. It was attended by 37 children from the regions of Kardzhali, Sliven, Krumovgrad. There were classes in Qur’an, Fiqh, Sira, Ahlaq, Aqaid. Lecturers of the workshop were the vaiz (preacher) at Regional Mufti’s Office – Blagoevgrad Dzhemile Musa, as well as Erife Musa, Fatme Durliova and Sabie Kiorova.

The workshop was held in combining the educational with entertaining activities – the children had time also for pastime and games and also visited the mosque “Yedi Kizlar”, located nearby.

One-week workshop for girls from fourth to eight grade was organized also in Rudozem from Grand Mufti’s Office in cooperation with Regional Mufti’s Office – Smolyan. It was attended by 35 girls from the Regional Mufti’s Offices of Smolyan, Blagoevgrad and Pazardzhik. Under the guidance of Hayri Sherifov and the lecturers Mediha Karaibrahimova, Myumine Sherifova and Ayshe Shatarova the girls received basic knowledge in Islam. There were sport games and entertaining events. A visit to Regional Mufti’s Office – Smolyan took place where the Regional Mufti welcomed the participants in the workshop.

All participants who took part in the held workshops received gifts on behalf of Grand Mufti’s Office. The organizers thank the children who chose to benefit to the fullest from the days from the April vacation by joining the organized religious workshops, and wished them successful completion of the school year.
