International meeting of muftis was held in Haskovo

Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo organized a meeting by gathering representatives of the Islamic religion from Bulgaria and from some of the neighboring countries. The meeting was joined by employees from Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo, who were also hosts, as well as many other prominent guests among whom the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, the Mufti of Ipsala, the Mufti of Edirne Province, the Mufti of Komotini, the Mufti of Lalapaşa, the Mufti of Süloğlu, the Mufti of Meriç, the Mufti of Uzunköprü, the Regional Mufti of Sliven, the Regional Mufti of Smolyan, the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali, a representative of the university in the town of Sakarya and the Director of SRS – Momchilgrad.

In a very warm atmosphere were discussed the neighborly relations and were touched topics directly affecting our Denomination. The muftis agreed to organize such joint meetings also in the future in order to strengthen the friendly relations.

The host of the meeting – the Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi, expressed his gratitude to those guests who responded to the invitation and sincerely wished this initiative to serve as an example to the other religious leaders so that more often to be organized such meetings which to contribute to the union, brotherhood and unity between the mufti’s offices.
