Grand Mufti attended the celebrations on the occasion of March 3

The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi attended the celebrations on the occasion of the National day of Bulgaria March 3. He greeted the President, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister and the Patriarch on the occasion. The religious leader took part in the ceremony of hoisting the national flag at the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier and the solemn military ceremony with fireworks in front of the National Assembly.

“There are dates and events in Bulgaria’s historical calendar which radically change our people’s road.We, as free Bulgarians, not only commemorate the successful end of the Russo-Turkish liberation war. Today we pay tribute to the heroism and self-sacrifice of the whole myriad of nationalities that contributed to securing Bulgaria’s liberation”, said the President of the Republic Rosen Plevneliev in his solemn speech on the occasion of the celebrations.

According to him there have been and there will be crises. It is through humanism, the rule of law and shared values that we can cope with them. Today no single people and state can deal with the global crises and challenges on their own.
