Supreme Muslim Council updated the Committee on Hajj organization
The newly elected Supreme Muslim Council elected the new members of the Committee for Hajj and Umrah organization during its first session, held on 4th of February in Sofia. This is the Committee which deals with the issues related to the organization of the pilgrimages and outlines the basic frameworks for the activities of Grand Mufti’s Office in regard to this. SMC appointed as a Chairman of the Committee the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, and for members the Chairman of SMC Vedat S. Ahmed, the lecturer in HII Dr. Sefer Hasanov, Beyhan Mehmed and Selyatin Muharem, who are regional muftis of Kardzhali and Aytos, from where were the highest number of pilgrims in 2015.
