NCRCB greeted the Grand Mufti for his re-election on this position
“We need to live together in this period in which we are living. The religion in Bulgaria is marginalized to the limit. That is why we must find strength and possibility for the good of the entire Bulgarian nation to be together”, said the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi. He received the Management Board of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRCB) at Grand Mufti’s Office.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Rupen Krikorian, NCRCB Chairman and a representative of the Armenian Church in Bulgaria, Father Angel, representative of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Father Petko Valov, representative of the Catholic Exarchate, Evgeni Naydenov, representative of the Evangelical Churches, the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council and the Deputy Grand Mufti BIrali Birali.
“I would like to greet you on behalf of the entire Council and I wish you a beneficial service in the name of the Faith”, said Dr. Rupen Krikorian. According to him the National Council has repeatedly demonstrated unity and efficiency in solving the common problems of the religious denominations.
“All these good relations are not alien to us. Our fathers and ancestors were living together and this is a fact, the good relations between people continue”, further said the Grand Mufti. According to him this should be preserved and raised to a higher level.
The representatives of the different denominations united around the idea that the organization of the religious life in Bulgaria is a task of the religious leaders but not of the politicians. NCRCB Chairman gave a plaque to the Grand Mufti on behalf of the Council.
