“Qurban draws closer” campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office this year was successfully completed

Within one month before Eid ul-Adha Grand Mufti’s Office launched the campaign under the motto “Qurban draws closer”. 25 qurbans (sacrificial animals) were donated. The meat from the slaughtered animals was distributed to orphans from the regional mufti’s offices in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Smolyan and Razgrad.

During the feast of Eid ul-Adha itself Grand Mufti’s Office in cooperation with different charitable foundations from abroad, organized the slaughtering and the dissemination of a large number of qurbans from donors. With the support of the foundations “Diyanet”, “Hasene” and “Sadakataşı” was organized the slaughtering of 1421 qurbans in total and the meat was distributed to 13 500 needy families.

Grand Mufti’s Office expresses its gratitude to all donors and ask the Almighty Allah to accept their qurbans and the good deeds.
