Ambassador of Turkey honored the iftar of Plovdiv citizens

The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria, Mr. Süleyman Gökçe attended the iftar which was organized by Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Imaret Mosque. Host of the event were the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv Mr. Alper Aktaş, the Regional Mufti Mr. Erin Ahmed and the Chairman of the Mosque’s Board of Trustees Mr. Ahmed Pehlivan. After the iftar the Ambassador greeted all attendees and said that from the beginning of the month of Ramadan together with the consuls general from the different regions have visited lots of iftars but the dinner organized in Plovdiv is the largest one for here can be seen all layers of society. He recalled that imaret means social support and not in vain this dinner is organized exactly here in Imaret mosque. Ambassador Gökçe wished health and patience for all the Muslims and also greeted them with the upcoming Ramadan Bayram. The iftar was prepared for about 250 people and the menu included ezogelin soup, salad, bulgur pilaf, tas kebab and pie. The event was also attended by the MP Dr/ Dzhevdet Chakarov, the Deputy Mayor of Central Region Mr. Oktay Chalashkan, businessmen and Muslims from the city and the region.
