A reporting and election meeting of the NCRCB (National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria) was held on February 3. During the meeting the work of the Council for year 2019 and 2020 was reported and was elected a new Chairperson and Managing Board with a two-year term. For Chairperson of the NCRCB was elected the representative of the Jewish community in Council Mr. Robert Dzherasi, who took the office from Mr. Birali Myumyun, A Deputy Grand Mufti and a representative of the Muslim Denomination in the Council. The chairmanship is on a rotational basis and each chairperson has a term of two years. As a new representative of the Muslim Denomination in the Council was nominated and elected Mr. Hayri Emin who is one of the founders of the NCRCB and an official of the Muslim Denomination. Members of the Managing Board of the NCRCB are representatives of the Muslim Denomination, the Central Israelite Religious Council, the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Catholic Church and the Bulgarian Evangelical Alliance. One of the most important functions of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria is to support and develop the inter-faith dialogue in the country.
