Grand Mufti’s Office organized workshop for students from religious schools
Educational Department at Grand Mufti’s Office organized 3-day workshop for the students from the secondary religious schools in Ruse, Shumen and Momchilgrad. It was held within the period from 1st till 3rd of April, 2015 in Sofia, and the main objective was to enrich the general culture of the students from the three schools as well as getting acquainted with them and about their needs.
The students met with the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali, the Deputy Grand Mufti responsible for the educational activities Vedat Ahmed, the Secretary General of the Muslim Denomination Ahmed Ahmedov and the Head of Educational Department Hyusein Karamolla.
During the workshop the students had the opportunity to met also with Dr. Ismail Dzhambazov, who is one of the first graduates of the religious school “Nyuvvab” in Shumen. He told them about his memories and gave them information on the historical monuments in the city of Sofia.
In the capital the students visited the mosque “Banya Bashi”, the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Museum of Natural History. The students also attended theater performance and many other interesting places and initiatives. The students from the religious schools were official guests in the National Assembly and the Presidency where they were kindly welcomed by the hosts. They managed also to see many from the historical monuments of culture in the capital. One of the stops of the young people was the Grand Mufti’s Office where they received detailed information for the work of each of the departments. Further they visited the High Islamic Institute. At the end of the three-day event the students from the secondary religious schools were very pleased and parted with their peers from the other schools expressing the hope to have the opportunity to be again a part of such useful workshops and other initiatives. The organizers expressed their hope that the Almighty will give prosperity and benefit of the held event.
