Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo organized a regional competition for the summer Qur’an courses in the region on August 30, 2020 (Sunday). Due to the epidemic situation not all summer Qur’an courses took part in the event. The competition was held outdoors, in the Sveta Gora park. The opening was made by the Regional Mufti Selyatin Masurev, who welcomed everyone and informed the competitors about the regulation.

The event was attended by Mr. Bahri Izet – expert at “Irshad” Department, and Beyhan Mehmed – Head of the Administrative Department. The first place was won by the students from the town of Svishtov, the second place was for the course from the village of Petko Slaveykovo, and the third one – again the Qur’an course from the village of Petko Slaveykovo. All children received gifts from Grand Mufti’s Office and Regional Mufti’s Office- V. Tarnovo, and after that there was a treat and free games in the park.
