In the COVID-19 pandemic situation and at the initiative of the platform Forum of European Muslim Youth and Students Organizations (FEMYSO) was launched a Europe wide large-scale volunteering campaign. It is entitled Outbreak of Generosity and aims to inspire and encourage the young people in Europe to help and support the needy and vulnerable from their local communities in the situation of the spreading coronavirus.
The campaign is implemented by the Forum of European Muslim Youth and Students Organizations (FEMYSO) in partnership with 17 other organizations and associations from Europe and all over the world. For the purpose of the initiative an interactive toolkit was compiled, available in 15 different languages so far, including Bulgarian.
The toolkit offers ideas and concrete action steps to the young people, who would like to reach out to the elderly and vulnerable people, people with health problems in their own local community or the familiar environment, for whom the conditions of the present pandemic are most challenging. In this sense, besides ideas the toolkit offers also measures for safety help, so that there would not be a risks to the volunteers and the others.
