Redzheb Redzheb – Regional Mufti of Varna since 2016

Yesterday, March 22, 2020 it was exactly two years since the unfortunate accident, which happened in the spring of 2018 with the Regional Mufti of Varna Redzheb Redzheb and his secretary Yumer Mehmed.

We recall that while travelling from Varna to Dobrich on official business, near the village of Izvorsko, they suffered a serious road traffic accident. After a collision with a truck in the into oncoming traffic the Mufti of Varna and his secretary lost consciousness. They were immediately transported to a hospital in Varna in a life-threatening condition, from where several days later with a Turkish governmental airplane were transported to the Turkish capital Ankara. Already two years the two officials of the Muslim Denomination continue to be under medical supervision and with assistants in the Turkish hospital, but unfortunately they are still in а state of coma. For Redzheb Redzheb from Sliven, who is married and is a father, takes after his wife, and for Yumer Mehmed from Varna - his mother.

Let us not forget our brothers in our duas (supplications)! We know that they are under the best protection – this of the Almighty Allah! So let us turn to Him with a dua (supplication) for healing and eliminating the torment of the victims and their families. Because… there is no better Healer than the Almighty!

Several months after the accident, in March 2018, for interim regional mufti of Varna was appointed Nuray Shukri, who is currently at this position as well.
