During the last week a delegation from Grand Mufti’s Office visited the Republic of Turkey where it held meetings with Hajj pilgrims from the previous year. Like every year, so in the past 2019, one part of those who travelled for a pilgrimage to the Holy places were immigrants from Bulgaria, who are currently living in neighboring Turkey.
Head of the delegation from the Republic of Bulgaria was Dzhemal Isa, Head of “Hajj” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office, accompanied by the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed, and Osman Kutrev from Regional Mufti’s Office – Blagoevgrad. In the framework of four consecutive days they visited the cities of Çorlu, Istanbul and Bursa, where they held meetings with the last year’s Hajj pilgrims from the Republic of Turkey, who successfully performed their pilgrimage with the organization of Grand Mufti’s Office.
The Muslim pilgrims officially received certificates for successful implementation of the pilgrimage of Hajj. The representatives of the Bulgarian delegation took the opportunity to officially present this year’s Hajj 2020 campaign. It is planned that this year’s pilgrimage of Hajj with the organization of the Muslim Denomination in our country to take place in the period July – August 2020.
