Regional Mufti’s Office – Aytos held its first for 2020 working meeting with the imams from the region. It took place on February 25 (Tuesday) this year in the central mosque of the town. Official guests of the working meeting were the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov, as well as Akif Akifov – Regional Mufti of Sliven, accompanied by imams from the mufti’s office in Sliven.
The meeting was opened with recitation of an excerpt from the Holy Qur’an by the imam of the village of Maglen Adem Musa, after which the host Selyatin Muharem, Regional Mufti of Aytos, presented to the participating imams the guests from Grand Mufti’s Office and from Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven.
Going to the main part of the meeting Muharem made a detailed analysis of the activities of the Regional Mufti’s Office in Aytos for the period from the beginning of the past year to the present moment.
“We discussed issues related to what we managed and what we did not managed to do, as well as what we have planned to develop in our activities. Focus of the meeting was the update of the status of the Muslim boards of trustees.” – he commented for Grandmufti.bg
The guests from Grand Mufti’s Office also took an active part in the held meeting. Halil Hodzhov from “Irshad” Department clarified issues related to the work of the imams, their duties and the importance of preparing monthly reports on the activities performed by them. The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi delivered a lecture on the religious activities of the imams, what can be done and how it should be done.
After completing the agenda, the meeting was closed with a dua (supplication) recited by the spiritual leader of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria.
