Muslims in the capital joined the another big international protest defending family and children

International protest under the title “SAVE THE FAMILY, PROTECT THE CHILDREN” took place in Bulgaria and in other countries around the world on December 7 (Saturday), 2019. Beside Bulgaria in the international protest participated also Armenia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Spain, Lithuania, Denmark, New Zeeland and Hawaii.

Sofia was one of the big cities in the country where the protesting people gathered at 13:00 o’clock on Saturday in order to stand together in defense of the family institution. Representatives of the Muslim community also participated in this another protest on Saturday, which started from the National Palace of Culture and reached to the National Assembly.

“We are stand firmly against the social system “Barnevernet” and the introduction of its policies in our country! We are here in order to declare categorically against the imposed anti-family policies, set in the new Law on the Social Services, and the interference of the institutions in the family. Family is a sacred union and we want to keep our right to raise and educate our children according to our own religious and moral values and without institutional interference.” – commented for Grandmufti.bg representatives of the Muslim community in Sofia, who participated in the international protest.

The protesting people in the entire country expressed their categorical position against the amendments to the Law on Child Protection, the amendment in the Family Code and the elaborated entirely new Law on Social Services, all of them entering into force from January 1, 2020. All these legislative amendments and the accompanying them programs and regulations are to the detriment of the Bulgarian family and allow the admission of vicious practices from other countries, among which is also the model of the Norway social service “Barnevernet”.
