Grand Mufti took part in a prayer for peace in Plovdiv
The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi took part in a prayer for peace during the Friday prayer in Plovdiv at the invitation of Regional Mufti.
“We prayed for peace and tolerance in our country and around the world and not repeating events as that a year ago here in the city of Plovdiv”, said the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi during a short briefing after the prayer. According to the cleric peace and tolerance should be supported in the way in which the official guests today did this responding to the invitation of the Regional Mufti.
Their commitment to peace and tolerance in the country also showed the Ambassador of Turkey Süleyman Gökçe, the Turkey’s Consul in the city Alper Aktaş, the Deputy Mayor Petar Zehtinski, the Chairman of the Jewish Club “Shalom” Svetlozar Kalev, MPs, regional muftis, representatives of the prosecutor's office and citizens.
Just before the Friday prayer there was a mawlid. The Grand Mufti performed the festive Friday prayer and said that temples are to serve the Almighty regardless the denomination to which they belong.
