Turkish Consulate in Burgas gave a Ramadan iftar-dinner in the town of Dolni Chiflik

Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna organized a Ramadan iftar-dinner which took place on May 10, 2019 in the town of Dolni Chiflik (Municipality of Varna). The event was sponsored by the General Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Burgas.

The festive dinner was attended by more than 150 people – women, men, youths and children. Official guests of the event were the Social affairs attaché Şemsettin Şimşek, hafiz Ömer Ali Özer – long-term seconded official of “Diyanet” from the Republic of Turkey, the employees of the “Diyanet” seconded for the month of Ramadan in the region of Varna Bilyal Arslan and Hüseyin Kaçar, the Regional Mufti of Regional Mufti’s Office- Silistra Myuddesir Mehmed, and the vaiz (preacher) at the mufti’s office in Silistra.

The dinner began with the call for prayer (adhan) performed by Bilyal Arslan.

The social affairs attaché Şemsettin Şimşek in his welcoming address emphasized that there is nothing more valuable than unity, peace and goodness of mankind. The interim regional Mufti Nuray Shukri thanked for the support on behalf of the Consulate of Turkey in Burgas and focused on the human relations during the month of Ramadan. The evening ended with a common dua (supplication) for peace and prosperity and with Islamic songs (ilyahi) performed by Bilyal Arslan and Hüseyin Kaçar.
