Grand Mufti’s Office held religious workshops for students in Sliven and Momchilgrad

During the spring school holiday Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria organized and held workshops for students at several places in the country. Two of them took place in the towns of Sliven and Momchilgrad and the nearly 30 boys in total participated in the two events, students from fourth to seventh grade.

The workshops were officially opened on March 31, 2019 and the one in Sliven continued till March 5, and the one in Momchilgrad – till March 4.

“Manager of the 6-day religious workshop in Sliven was the Regional Mufti Akif Akifov, and a teacher was the Regional Mufti of Stara Zagora Turhan Hasan. During the last day of the workshop the participants in it were visited by the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov.”- said for Grandmufti.bg from the Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven.

According to the expert from “Irshad” Department Resim Shamatarev the workshops in basic knowledge in Islam for students in Sliven and Momchilgrad as usual included knowledge about Fiqh, Aqidah, Sira and Qur’an-i Kerim. “The participants in them left with gifts, presented to them on behalf of the organizers - further said Shamatarev.
