20 students took part in a religious workshop of Grand Mufti’s Office

“Irshad” Department of Grand Mufti’s Office organized a religious workshop for Muslim youth in the capital within the period March 15-17, 2019 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Its topic was “Challenges to the Muslim Youth to Assert Their Islamic Affiliation”, and was attended by nearly 20 Muslim boys who are currently studying in universities in Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Sofia, Blagoevgrad and Varna.

The topics about the faith in Allah and its reflection on the behavior of the Muslim, for his personality and the relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims and the asserting of the Islamic affiliation nowadays were just a part of the highlights during the lectures of the workshop program. Speakers during the held workshop were the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov, the Deputy grand Mufti Birali Birali and the Regional Mufti of Sofia Mustafa Izbishtali.

The held workshop for students is the second one, organized by “Irshad” Department of Grand Mufti’s Office since the beginning of 2019. In February there was held a workshop for student girls, in which participated 40 Muslim girls in total from several universities in the country.
